The charming guest rooms, mostly with Art Déco stucco on the walls or in the ceiling, combine past elegance with contemporary interiors. The double rooms are equipped with two single beds (90 cm x 200 cm) or grand lit (160 cm x 200 cm). Most rooms have a view of the city and feature a French balcony. The bathroom has either a bathtub or walk-in shower.
The rooms are equipped with a safe, WiFi, smart TV, telephone, Nespresso coffee machine, mini-fridge and a hairdryer. Mineral water, coffee capsules and tea are provided.

Enjoy the highest degree of relaxation thanks to the services and facilities offered by these elegantly furnished premium suites. The Art Déco premium suites feature a separate lockable bedroom with a king size bed (180x200cm) as well as a separate spacious living room with a large conference table for 6 persons, and two bathrooms. Ideal for longer stays or if you wish to work from your room. A Nespresso coffee machine and other exclusive services are available to you as a guest in this suite.

Description
Rich in history, GLANDON Rooms «Elite» (formerly known as the Art Déco Hotel Elite) is located in the centre of Biel, the city of watchmaking and communication. The historic building combines its distinctive Art Deco architecture with contemporary comfort.
The hotel features 38 rooms and 3 suites. The building also houses several independently run establishments, including the Italian restaurant L’Osteria on the ground floor, a fitness and wellness centre, and the gourmet rooftop restaurant Repas on the sixth floor, offering views over the city.
Built between 1929 and 1931, the Elite still shapes the city centre around General-Guisan-Platz together with the neighbouring Volkshaus.
Today, the house reflects a blend of tradition and modern operations: self check-in allows flexible arrivals, while staff remain on site to personally assist guests. In 2026, the rooms were further upgraded, including high-quality beds and mattresses from the Swiss company Möbel Tanner, modern interiors with warm wooden floors, fresh colours and furniture, as well as new Smart TV solutions.
Arrival (Check-in/Check-out)
Check-in from 3 to 10.30 pm and check-out until 11 am.
By car: follow the brown hotel signalisation. The Hotel Elite is located 200 metres from the station on General Guisan Square.
By train: from station exit straight on 200 m then turn to the right.
Conditions/extras
The hotel recommends the train station parking. Luggage can be left in front of the hotel.
Pets are welcome. Fee: CHF 25.00 per night (without food).
Access to the ACTIV Finesse and wellness area is free of charge for hotel guests. Opening hours according to website.
