Nestled in the hollow of the Baroche, in the Ajoie region, Asuel is a small village overlooked by its old castle, whose ruins date back to the 11th century. You will be welcomed in an unspoilt natural setting, characterised by its damson plum orchards.

Formerly a mill and farm, then a renowned restaurant, the Gîte du Cheval-Blanc in Asuel offers you a pleasant and comfortable stopover, whether you are arrive on foot, by bike, on horseback, or are simply passing through by car. Our Franches-Montagnes horses live here in freedom and are part of our daily life.
The rooms have all been recently restored, and most have a private bathroom. At the end of the day, you will enjoy a moment of relaxation on the large terrace, in the shade of the lime trees. Afterwards, you will sit down to a meal, to enjoy authentic and generous cuisine prepared with passion using organic and local products. For those who so wish, a damson gin tasting at the end of the meal will allow them to discover this typical and rare liqueur.

The old farmhouse has been transformed into a meeting room with a lot of character and offers space to eat for groups of 80 to 120 people. It is equipped with an area to host the caterer of your choice. Ideal for weddings, corporate dinners or seminars.

For those who wish to enrich their stay, the owner offers a variety of equestrian activities. He will enable you to discover horses and, through this approach, deepen your personal knowledge. If you so wish, he will introduce you to horse riding or carriage driving and take you for a ride in a carriage or on horseback in the woods. Depending on the season, you can even try your hand at old-fashioned work with the horses (such as hay harvesting).
